Appointments

We run all our surgeries by an appointment only system. Routine appointments can be booked by telephoning the surgery, urgent appointments are available on the day. You can also book your appointment online. To register for this free service simply come into the Surgery and ask to be registered. Once you’ve received your login credentials you can access the service from here. We try to make sure you see the doctor of your choice but if they are not available we may ask you to see another doctor.

If you are too ill to come to the surgery and you require a visit at home, please call the surgery before 10am. Home visits take up much more of a doctor’s time than a consultation in the surgery, so if you are mobile please come into the surgery to be seen.

Please note that when booking an appointment the receptionist will ask you for a reason for your appointment. This is because it helps ensure you are booked into the correct appointment slot with the appropriate clinician as the GPs, nurses and healthcare assistants and our Pharmacist treat different issues. Furthermore, some appointments require a longer time slot, for example diabetic reviews. Occasionally it may be that we direct you to a different service such as the Minor Injury Unit or A and E if we feel that your issue is more suitable to be treated there. If you would rather not disclose the reason you would like an appointment please tell the receptionist that it is ‘private’. Thank you.
